The team behind Christmas In Thirsk (part of Thirsk Business Association and Thirsk Ladies Group) have been working hard throughout the year trying to raise funds to light up Thirsk during the Christmas period.

Due to the pandemic, the Christmas In Thirsk team have had little or no chance to fundraise again this year, and cannot host the festive annual light switch on show or Christmas Fayre but still want Thirsk to shine over the festive period.

Hambleton District Council are supporting small businesses across the area with a free business support programme to enhance skills, expand knowledge, provide consumer insight and offer bespoke advice. The programme follows on from the enthusiastic uptake of the workshops which took place towards the end of 2020 and in April and May 2021 and is aimed at helping customer facing businesses to survive and thrive.
