Itseeze

In this month's Spotlight feature we talk to Rob Davies from It’seeze Websites, read on to find out more from Rob.

1. When did you start your business?

1st April 2014

2. What led you to start a business/how did it all begin?

Throughout my career I’ve worked in advertising agencies and design companies, advising businesses on how to promote and market themselves. In 2013, having sold my previous online business, I discovered the it’seeze website franchise, which I found to be particularly exciting and offered smaller businesses the chance to afford a high quality website, an absolute necessity in the 21st century.

3. What do you like about Thirsk?

I love coming to Thirsk, it’s an attractive town with some great shops. I can usually get parked and there are some brilliant coffee shops!

4. What is your most popular product/service?

We offer 3 distinct website packages, the most popular of which is based on our ‘Max’ 10 page package

5. What other local business do you support?

A great website requires great words and great pictures, so I’m always trying to persuade customers to use local professional photographers and copywriters. Other services I promote locally are graphic design and social media expertise, and of course my customers in Thirsk, the latest of whom are Cleancore UK, VR2U and The Greyhound at Bagby.

6. What is the best part of your job?

Travelling across Ryedale & Hambleton on a sunny day to meet my customers!

7. What is the best piece of advice you would offer a new business in Thirsk?

Join Thirsk & District Business Association and get involved. You’ll meet people from all walks of business and you never know when you might need help or advice.

8. Fun/amazing fact about your business people might not know?

In 5 years I’ve helped over 200 businesses get great websites.

9. Favourite book/famous person that inspires you?

Having created the website for the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen and since got to know her really well, I find her truly inspiring. Her latest book ‘The Adventures of The Yorkshire Shepherdess’ is a brilliant read.

10. What does the future look like for your business?

I would never be complacent but my business continues to go from strength to strength thanks to the support and referrals I receive from existing customers as well as colleagues I’ve got to know through networking. I intend to focus even more on business opportunities in Thirsk.
