Hambleton Business Week 11 -13 May

Join businesses across Hambleton for this exciting week of events, which will see the launch of C4DI Northallerton and the Hambleton Business Conference 2021, a first for Hambleton District Council the event will be held virtually from May 11  – 13  at the new C4DI Northallerton hub. On the first day there will be the official opening of the £2.3m hub, part funded by Local Growth Fund secured from the York & North Yorkshire LEP, based at the ‘Treadmills’ development in Northallerton, with the chance to see a video tour of the campus and to book your own visit once lockdown lifts.

The digital hub, which is focused on helping tech companies grow and traditional businesses innovate within the agriculture, food processing and digital sector, is unique in the way it brings traditional business together with fast tech start-ups and scaleups through custom innovation programmes and start-tup incubation. It gives the traditional business access to skills and expertise and gives tech companies unrivalled supply chain and mentor access. Day one of the conference will give you the chance to hear more about C4DI, ask questions and find out ways in which you can get involved.

The 2021 Business Conference – on May 12 – will focus on growing the Hambleton economy through digital technology to support the high streets, market towns as well as those traditional businesses within the District.      

Kate Hardcastle MBE, will deliver a keynote speech on the ‘Digital High Street’. Kate, who heads the team at consultancy, Insight with Passion, is also a television presenter and commentator, known as the Customer Whisperer. 

Also speaking on May 12 will be Amanda Lindsay from Human Resources Consultancy, 2hbr, who will deliver a session on ‘change and the resistance to change’ in the workplace; and Matthew Hopkinson from Didobi, Founder Director of the Local Data Company, who will give national insight into high street change and technology futures.
