Thirsk Racecourse

Renowned for its beautifully maintained paddock and stunning setting, Thirsk Racecourse has an idyllic country charm about it, yet it is a thoroughly modern venue with outstanding facilities; not least free Wi-Fi for everyone!

Thirsk is ever popular across the generations and really is suitable for anyone, from the most seasoned racing ‘nut’ to the first time racegoer.  Thirsk stages 16 days of fabulous, competitive flat racing between April and September, including evening meetings, Summer Family Days featuring lots of fun for children, and no less than 6 fantastic Saturday racedays.

Facilities have benefited from huge and widespread investment over the past few years and really are up there amongst the best in North Yorkshire, least not Thirsk's latest addition The Chestnut Room.

Built at a cost of circa £1.8m and with a capacity of 250 people for dinner or up to 350 for a theatre-style presentation, this wonderful new building is available for conferences, dinners, parties, weddings and other non-racing events.
